Let me tell you about my first Dog Friendly Holiday now I is an Australian Girl 😊
Hum & GlennDad took me to a place called Lakes Entrance which is very beautiful and relaxing according to Hum ‘cos there is lots of water which she loves. It is in Victoria, Australia nearly 4 hours from Melbourne City but there are good dog friendly stops on the way – we stopped at Food Co. on Franklin in Traralgon which had yummy food and space in a little garden to sit in the shade.
When we arrived at Prime Holiday Park in Lakes Entrance, we were not disappointed!
First of all – great news! It is super PET FRIENDLY and one of the only places we have ever stayed at that is for ADULTS and PETS only!!!! No children!!!! That is a FIRST!
So, let me show you around. Prime Holiday Park caters primarily for people travelling with their dogs and pitching up with their motor homes, caravans or trailer tents. It also has some accommodation on-site – 2 Cabins; 2 Cottages and 2 on-site Caravans. It is family run by Sandi and Darryl who are super friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful with where to go and things to do.
We stayed in the Luxury Cabin and it was brilliant!
As well as having a handy gate to keep me safe, inside just got better and better!
There was a wonderfully comfortable dog bed provided, dog bowls, poo bags and a map for the humans to know where to take me.
For Hum there was a super kitted out kitchen and dining area and for GlennDad relaxing chairs for him to chill and watch his sport on TV
Even the bed linen had pictures of dogs on!!!! We were obviously THE most important folk in this holiday park!
The Park had really good facilities on-site. For us pooches there is an off-lead area which has play equipment in it should you want to climb or even go down a slide! Lots of bins around and a doggy wash area should you get wet and sandy on the beach and need a clean-up.
For the human-folk, there is an outdoor kitchen including BBQ area, a laundry, book swap and of course, Hum’s favourite a swimming pool 😊
Prime Holiday Park is 300 metres from the centre of town & the footbridge to the 90 mile beach, so all the attractions and features of Lakes Entrance are just a short walk away.
