Hi Dog Pals,
Yesterday was Father’s Day so I wanted to do something fun with GlennDad 🙂
I gave GlennDad his pressie which was a Dog Owner’s Walking Gift Box which contained walking socks and chocolate for him and treats and a ball for me!

Now all we needed to do was find a good place to go for a walk! Hum got on her interweb thingy and found the very dog friendly Cotgrave Country Park. Countrycotgravecountrypark.co.uk
Cotgrave Country Park has been created from the reclaimed land of a former colliery site. The park has been landscaped with woodlands, lakes, and wetland areas. There are 200 acres of public open space to explore on foot, by bike or on horse back. Admission and parking are free. All that AND it is super duper dog friendly!!!!

When we arrived, we chose our route (all routes are well signposted) and set off. The first thing we came to was a small area which had a sign to say it was a doggy toilet area!! Well I never!! I have never had a dedicated toilet area before so it seemed a shame not to use it and there was a poo bin right next to it. Hum was pleased about that I can tell you 😉

We walked along a path and OMG, the next thing we came to was a Dog Pool!!! Our own Swimming Pool! Now I don’t like swimming or getting my beautiful hair wet and muddy but other dogs were proper enjoying it!

The paths go past fishing lakes and then across a bridge over a canal. Hum & GlennDad LOVED this as they have been missing living on the houseboat.

Hum was pleased that as well as the doggy toilet area, there were lots of other bins round the walk.
After a walk along the canal, we looped back past some picnic benches and shared a wonderful picnic supplied by Mortons Farm Tearooms There were sausage rolls, quiche, cheese scones, cheese, pickles and all sorts of goodies some of which I was allowed to sample – yummy! GlennDad thought it was delicious!
So we had a really lovely Father’s Day – happy GlennDad and happy little old me 🙂 Oh and of course Hum really happy ‘cos we were happy 🙂
Zuki xx
