Walberswick, Suffolk

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Hi my doggie friends,

The delightful Jenny at Happy Days Retro Vacations told us about Walberswick beach so off we set on our grand Suffolk adventure.

Now this IS a dog friendly place – even the Car Park Attendant had treats in her pocket and fresh water for me!!!!

A lovely beach – lots more sand than Sizewell which we had tried the day before so Hum was happy not having pebbles making her feet sore. Hum did her getting in the water swimmy thing that I just don’t get – doesn’t look natural to me! And I know I CAN swim – I mean there is a stroke called Doggy Paddle after all BUT I just choose not to – don’t want to get my lovely hair wet now it has been styled for summer and all that! Plus I do worry those big splashy wave things will carry Hum out to sea and then what would I do? 😦

So when Hum was back on dry land we played ball and then went for a walk to catch the dog friendly Ferry to Southwold (note you have to pay for children and bicycles but us four-legged folks go free) 🙂

Wow – not been on a boat before and I wasn’t sure at first but found my sea legs and it was rather fun!

After a disappointing time in Southwold (which I already told you about), we came back and I met a lovely little Jack Russell puppy called Binky. Much better return journey having found a little friend to travel with 🙂

Both The Anchor and The Bell in Walberswick are dog friendly but we chose The Bell ‘cos the car park lady said she thought it was the most dog friendly of the two. And we weren’t disappointed. Will tell you about The Bell in another Blog entry soon!

Zuki

A definite 5 paw prints 🙂
